Investment priorities 2022

The most benefited infrastructure project in the 2022 Budget is the Mayan Train, which contemplates works in Campeche, Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Chiapas and Tabasco. If the Treasury's request is approved, the Mayan Train will receive 62,942 million pesos in 2022.

The second most benefited infrastructure project will be the Tulum International Airport in Quintana Roo, for which a budget of 11,031 million pesos was requested in 2022.

The third most benefited project will be the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, which includes works in Oaxaca and Veracruz. For this initiative, 10 billion pesos were requested.

The total investment budget of the Federal Government in 2022 is 140 billion pesos: 60% for priority infrastructure projects and 40% for the rest of the initiatives, without considering Pemex, the CFE and others that did not specify a particular investment status.
